    Karen Coombs

    Clinical Director

    Karen joined the practice in 2011 after working locally for many years. She became clinical director in 2018 – and now works twice as many hours per week as she did when she joined due to the practice’s growth! She is an active part of the local community and is often found cheering on her sporty sons. She also enjoys cooking, reading and walking long distances.

    Pauline Belcher

    Practice Manager

    Pauline worked as a veterinary nurse before moving to New Zealand, where she lived happily for nine years. She returned to the UK in 2012 and joined team Court! She shares her home with two dogs, Tui and Gino, and enjoys spending her free time with her family, travelling up and down the country at motorbike trials and going for coastal walks in Devon and Cornwall.

    Yasmin Simms

    Head Veterinary Nurse

    Yasmin joined the team at Court Vets in 2016 after training with practice in Oxford. She loves the variety in the role, and particularly enjoys helping inpatients to recover and keeping in touch with clients through nurse clinics.

    At home she has two cats, George and Ronnie. Outside of work Yasmin is usually busy running around after her young son and enjoying the chaos that comes with it.

    Karien White

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Karien worked at Archway, a fellow member of the VetPartners family, before joining our team in 2023. Currently Karien is pursuing a Post-Grad certificate in Small Animal Medicine. She loves ultrasound work and building great relationships with her patients and clients. She has a cat and a dog of her own, and enjoys setting personal challenges for herself, such as walking, climbing mountains and discovering new places.

    Lauren joined us in 2023, shortly after completing her veterinary nursing training at a vet practice in Swindon. Her clinical passions include pet nutrition and nursing our inpatients. Outside of work, she enjoys running, reading and taking care of her own pets.

    Melissa Polden

    Veterinary Nurse

    RVN

    Melissa has been a qualified RVN for four years and joined the team at Court Vets in November 2024. She has a keen interest in emergency care and looking after hospitalised patients, where she enjoys providing hands-on support and comfort.

    At home, Melissa is kept busy by her two spaniels, a cat and two rabbits – and loves nothing more that a good countryside walk with the dogs.

    Mollie Prior

    Animal Care Assistant and Receptionist

    Mollie is a true local lass, having been born, schooled and living in the area. Mollie completed her animal care course in 2024 and hopes to continue to her Veterinary Nursing qualifications. . In her spare time, Mollie milks the cows on a local farm, waitresses in a pub, look after her horse and three sheep and loves riding when she can.

    Donna Robbins

    Receptionist

    Before joining us in 2023, Donna worked as a retail manager in the charity sector for 18 years. As a local resident, she loves getting to walk to work and serve her local community, as well as working as part of our supportive team. She has a dog called Bentley, who makes appearances in practice from time to time, and loves tending to her allotment, crocheting and travelling, something which she hopes to do more of in the future.

    Laura Eddy

    Animal Care Assistant

    Laura first joined Court Vets in 2012, and after a few years away, she returned in 2024. She has a keen interest in small furries and exotics, and has two cats, two guinea pigs and some fish of her own at home. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family and getting stuck into a good book.

    Georgina Weston (currently on Maternity Leave)

    Veterinary Nurse

    RVN

    Georgina qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2012 and achieved her certificate in anaesthesia three years later. She worked in primary care and referral practices as an anaesthesia nurse until 2020, when she joined the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies as an examination coordinator, before becoming an examination content creator. She returned to clinical work in 2024, the same year she joined our team, and has a passion for analgesia nursing and surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing with her husband and daughter, tending to her allotment and hiking in the countryside.

    Veterinary Surgeon
